Christmas with Veterans and Elderly

On December 20, 2018 beginning at 8:30a.m, the Centennial Post 2019 geared up to deliver gifts to veterans and elderly in the homes in our community. They began their day bagging gifts at the Church of Chantilly who was gracious to lend their facility as a meeting post.

The four young men in the picture to the left are members of the church, and came to lend a helping hand with the project. The Centennial post sends a special thanks to these gentlemen for your service and generosity.

Once all bags were stuffed and counted, the post members began their convoy to the homes of the veterans and elderly. They were all elated to see our faces and receive their gifts. Nothing brought them more pleasure than knowing that they were remembered for the Holidays. Below are a few of the veterans and seniors who were proud to be featured on our website.

Christmas

The Centennial Post 2019 would also like to thanks each of the members who came out to bag and/or deliver. A special thanks also goes to Service Officer Rick Harris and his wife, and Finance Officer Melvin Pettus for helping us achieve the goal we needed to make this day possible.
